Something deep inside me said to take a picture of this to share. I don't know why. Am I proud to have squirrel tendencies? Do I wish to gloat? What is this stuff anyway? Will I ever use it all up? Can I search out more of this in some far away store? Will this be the first thing I pack up for emergency evacuations? Stop already...you'd think I'm a pirate with a treasure chest.
This is a tub of Lion Brand Cotton-Ease--some of every color they made. I think I have more than 50 skeins of the stuff in there. And I've had more than this at one time. I made a blanket for my SIL for her wedding using most of the bright colors and *sniff* I don't have a picture to show for it. It was nice. I used the modular technique and randomly striped each square.

I'm making a little more progress on my Jaywalker sock 1. I don't think I'll do this one again. Not because its not a great pattern. I'm not happy with the top of the sock. I'm hoping that with blocking/washing it'll even out but right now the ribbing zigs with the zags and puckers a bit. I do like the yarn--reminds me of the way Noro Kureyon transitions from one color to another. This yarn has 4 plies and each ply changes color randomly so it is marly among the stripes.

Its a little blurry but you can get an idea of what it looks like close up.
Just placed an order from Elann for some of their Esprit yarn. My son wants a sport weight beanie cap in black. He's growing out his hair and this will help keep it out of his eyes. I don't know if they'll let him wear to classes when they start up again but he's going to try. He initially wanted a jolly roger knitted in but changed his mind and just wants it solid, to my relief. I'll be using the book: the knitter's handy book of Patterns by Ann Budd to make the cap and I'll post a pattern for it when I get it done.
