Pattern: Market Squares Tote from Bags, A Knitters Dozen Yarn: Noro Kureyon color 116 (I think this color is discontinued) for main part of bag, Lamb's Pride worsted for top trim
This is my second go with this pattern. I cut my teeth on this pattern the first time I made it learning the entrelac technique. It was a class offered at the LYS. To me, the technique was very easy to catch on and kind of hypnotic. I recommend learning to knit without turning your work (some call it knitting backwards or ambidextrous knitting).

I really like the way the bottom turns out. This version is a little odd due to the way the colors transitioned but on the first version, it looks like a flower. This photo shows it before felting.

And here's a close up.

This was taken after the felting process in my washer. I like to pinch and clip around the bottom. This helps to shape it while its drying for when I do the final touches.

And here it is hanging up to dry which will take at least a couple of days. After drying, all that's left to do is to a) give it a final brushing b) clip yarn tails inside (I forgot to weave them in before felting) c) hand stitch in the welting to area that is clipped around bottom and d) add the handles. My idea for the handles is a bit rough. I found a silver metallic leather belt that I think I can cut into 2 pieces and sew into place. Look for the results next week.
