Free Pattern: Argosy Shawl Yarn: KnitPicks Cotlin
I think the Argosy series is almost wrapped up except for one more piece. And that would be the baby blanket version done by Kay at Mason Dixon Knitting. I'll be writing up the pattern for it shortly. She used Rowan Denim which shrinks when washed & dried so the instructions will include that version and also another version for one that won't shrink. I'm too pooped to knit up the full version right away in a different yarn so I'm going to make it up by referring to a hefty swatch. As of this very moment, I haven't picked which yarn I'll use but I'm leaning toward Mission Falls 1824 Cotton. I really like their colors.
In case any of you are wanting to make up this shawl and can't find this yarn, I'm pretty sure that KnitPicks Shine sport will be a nice substitute.
Spring Break is coming and I'm really looking forward to it. We're going to travel with the trailer since we haven't had a chance so far this year. Our first stop will be where my S & BIL live and we'll be celebrating her birthday. March is the month that the highest percentage of my family was born so its the month of shopping and going broke (I don't like shopping unless its for yarn!). I've only knitted one gift (the Market Squares bag in Kureyon) so I hope she likes it.
Happy Birthday Steph, Dad, Hope, Coop, Melodey & Randy. ![]()
