I don't go out on the town much.  I'm happy staying at home.  But there are times when it must be done.  Must be done.  And when I say out on the town, its not what you think.  I'm not going clubbing or to a movie and drinks afterward or such.  That's never been my style.  For several reasons.  I don't hear very well in crowds (and even in not-so-crowds).  I can't be around smoking.  I am self-conscience.  This last one is something I've dealt with since forever and I'm really a lot better than I used to be.  But darn it if, here I am at almost the 43rd year of life and I'm still battling acne.  Yep, what most of you lucky folks out there have, or will, grow out of, I'm still dealing with.  On my face.  Right there where you can't miss it.

So tonight my sharchitect DH and I are going to a banquet dinner in honor of another local architect that he admires.  I'm going to have to wear makeup to cover up the zits, blemishes, pimples, acne scars, bumps, whatever you want to call these awful (painful) things on my face.  I'm talking the tan (practically white) goo in a bottle and it'll probably make my face break out more.  I'm not fond of wearing the stuff.  The last time I wore it was about 3 years ago when I was in a wedding party.  I just hope I remember how to use it.  I definitely remember how to wash it off!

Back to knitting...This is my progress photo of the next and possibly last installment in my Argosy Recharged series.  It's not an Irish Manta Ray gliding through my shrubs.  It's the shawl version of the Argosy scarf using KnitPicks CotLin.  The green color actually has more yellow in it.  I like the pleaty effect that it has.  And it's good, mindless knitting.

~Inner monologue:  Maybe if I wear my Argosy Wrap no one will look at my face tonight.  Yeah, maybe.  And maybe I'll just wrap it around my face.  Too bad I don't have a burka~
