This is the Argosy theory taken to a new level. And Kay sure did it up right! After posting progress photos on her blog, Mason Dixon Knitting, she received several requests for the pattern. So, with her permission, it is now available. Check it out on her blog: here, here & here.
Another Free Pattern: Argosy Baby Blanket Yarn: Blue Sky Cotton Size: roughly 45 inches wide by 54 inches long
Kay inspired me to work up my own version of the blanket and I chose a bulkier yarn that helps to make the project a rather quick knit. The yarn is lovely to work with and the colors that are available will suit every taste.

I chose not to do the Cro-Kay edging on my version but if you want to add it, I suggest buying another skein of yarn. And don't forget to sprinkle a few embroidered flowers around. I added a few to each corner. The lazy daisy instructions are not on my pattern so here's a couple of links where you learn how to do them: crochet.about.com & craftown.com (I got these links from a spur-of-the-moment web search so if you have any other sites for tutorials, let me know). Get creative and do the flowers in contrasting colors.
So I think this is the last installment in the Argosy Recharged series. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in my patterns! I love checking out your finished projects on your blogs and they are all so lovely. Look for another one of my scarf designs in the May issue of Magknits.
**ETA: There have been problems getting the pattern files to show up correctly through this post so please email me if you'd like the pattern and I'll send you a copy of the file that way (click on my Gumby button at the top of the page for my email info). I apologize for any errors that have occured. Somday I'll get this thing licked!**
